We may collect, use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:
to register you for and communicate with you about beginners courses;
to send you communications regarding membership and other activities of the Sydney Kendo Club, the New South Wales Kendo Association (NSWKA) and Australian Kendo Renmei (AKR);
to answer enquires and provide you with information;
to update our records and keep your details up to date; and
to comply with any law, rule, regulation, lawful and binding determination, decision or direction of a regulator or in co-operation with any local, State or Federal governmental authority.
We may also disclose your personal information to:
our committee members, Sensei and other members who assist in the running and operation of the Sydney Kendo Club;
Willoughby City Council and other local authorities for the purposes of COVID-19 contact tracing; and
the NSWKA and AKR for membership registration, entry into competitions and gradings and other connected purposes.
COVID Safety Plan
Sydney Kendo Club has devised a 'COVID-19 Safety Plan and Re-Opening Protocols' (Plan) to enable members to return to practice in our Dojo safely. In developing the Plan we have taken account of and are monitoring all available resources including, Public Health Orders, permitted exemptions to the Public Health Orders, the guidelines and other information provided by Federal and State Governments, Willoughby City Council, the AIS, Sport Australia, NSW Office of Sport, the Australian Kendo Renmei and the NSW Kendo Association. Members are also encouraged to download the COVIDSafe App.
It is a condition of entry to our Dojo that members comply with the provisions of the Plan. By entering the Dojo members and visitors confirm that they have read, understood and agree to the provisions of this Plan:
