Privacy policy
We respect your rights to privacy under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Act) and we comply with all of the Act’s requirements in respect of the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information.
We may collect, use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes:
to register you for and communicate with you about, beginners courses;
to send you communications regarding membership and other activities of the Sydney Kendo Club, the New South Wales Kendo Association (NSWKA) and Australian Kendo Renmei (AKR);
to answer enquires and provide you with information;
to update our records and keep your details up to date; and
to comply with any law, rule, regulation, lawful and binding determination, decision or direction of a regulator or in co-operation with any local, State or Federal governmental authority.
Your personal information will not be shared, sold, rented or disclosed other than as described in this Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose your personal information to:
our committee members, Sensei and other members who assist in the running and operation of the Sydney Kendo Club;
Willoughby City Council and other local authorities for the purposes of COVID-19 contact tracing; and
the NSWKA and AKR for membership registration, entry into competitions and gradings and other connected purposes.
