LEARN KENDO
Hands-on Learning - Kendo Beginner's Course
We hold Kendo beginners' courses for adults (aged 18 and over) at various times throughout the year. During the 6-week course you will learn the basics of Kendo, including etiquette, footwork and striking techniques. By the end of the course you will be ready to train in the traditional Kendo uniform and armour and you will join with the Sydney Kendo Club's regular Wednesday and Saturday classes. The course fee includes your own shinai, the bamboo sword used in Kendo, membership of the Australian Kendo Renmei, insurance and instruction.
Our courses are held during our regular training sessions on either a Saturday or a Wednesday. We have just completed a course and have not yet decided the starting date for our next one.
Please note, Kendo involves strenuous physical activity and may not be suitable for people with some health conditions.
