LEARN KENDO

Hands-on Learning - Kendo Beginner's Course

We hold Kendo beginners' courses for adults (aged 18 and over) starting in January and July each year. During the 6-week course you will learn the basics of Kendo, including etiquette, footwork and striking techniques. By the end of the course you will be ready to train in the traditional Kendo uniform and armour and you will join with the Sydney Kendo Club's regular Wednesday and Saturday classes. The course fee includes your own shinai, the bamboo sword used in Kendo, membership of the NSW Kendo Association, insurance and instruction.

The next course will commence on Saturday 15 July and continue for 6 weeks. There will be no class on Saturday 5 August as we are holding a grading in the dojo.

Please note, Kendo involves strenuous physical activity and may not be suitable for people with some health conditions.
